Over the past 60 years, the Uxbridge Hospital Auxiliary has generated significant support for equipment replacements, upgrades, and major repairs at the hospital through new and innovative fundraising projects.

This generous and ongoing support was taken to new heights in 2023 with an additional $1.5 million pledge to Uxbridge Hospital Foundation. With this most recent gift included, the Auxiliary has raised an astounding $6 million in support of Uxbridge Hospital to date.

“We are grateful to have such a wonderful hospital with great medical staff and state-of-the-art equipment here in Uxbridge, and it is our privilege to fundraise on its behalf,” shared Nancy Emo, the Auxiliary President. “Our Auxiliary has continued to grow because I believe people enjoy helping both Uxbridge and its hospital. Most of our volunteers are seniors with a lot of life experience and they just want to give back. By coming together through this work, we can help ensure that Uxbridge Hospital continues to be able to care for our community, meeting the majority of our medical needs right here at home.”

Originally formed in 1954 by a group of nurses living here in our community, the Uxbridge Hospital Auxiliary has now expanded to include more than 250 dedicated volunteers among its ranks. The group’s primary fundraising is done through their thrift store, Chances Are, as well as the
Cottage Gift Shop (located within the hospital), and the annual Run For the Diamond 5/10K walk/run, which raised $34,000 last year.
